James Edward Hicks, Jr. was born on October 30, 1937 In Egg Harbor, New Jersey to James Edward Hicks, Sr. and Bertha Hicks.

James married Elinor Hicks on December 9, 1958 and to this union three children were born: Stevenson D. Hicks, Blossom L. Hicks and Randy E. Hicks.

On November 29, 2017, in Torrance, California, James departed this life and went Home. Those that preceded him in death are his parents James Sr. and Bertha Hicks, his wife, Elinor Hicks.

James E. Hicks served our Country and was Honorably Discharged from the United States Air Force. 

Those left to cherish his memories are his children: Stevenson D. Hicks and daughter-in-law Diana E. Hicks both of Springfield, Missouri; Blossom L. Hicks and Randy E. Hicks; his brother: Willie Hicks of Cape May, New Jersey; six grandchildren: Brad, Latoya, Kristopher, Lance, Shaka-Ra and Azaria; three great grandchildren: Khaila, Asar and Mayya; special niece: Debra D. Caldwell of Birmingham, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.
