Catherine S DuPont, age 69 of Pasadena, California passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 due to an aneurysm after a successful surgery on July 8th.

She left this world to join her loving mother Mary Hewson, father William "Bill" Hewson, sister Marilee Hanson, and her niece Katie Wing.

Catherine was in her element when she was helping others.

She loved to help others in their business and personal lives.

She was a meticulous organizer and record keeper which made her a valuable asset to companies throughout her years of working as an employee.

Many companies were in contact with her, even years after working for them, and thankful to her for all she had done for them.

Tidy book keeping that even managed to snag a big embezzler for one company she worked for.

Her organization skills might even make IKEA management take note.

Catherine had an uncanny knack of meeting people.

She was not shy or afraid of famous or powerful people.

She would fearlessly chat up people like Merv Griffin, Jonathan Winters, Buzz Aldrin, and many others.

Because of her brilliant smile, smiling eyes, and effervescent personality, these people would be enchanted and suddenly find themselves talking to her for maybe even an hour or so.

An amazing talent. Catherine worked as a care giver for the last 15 years of her life as giving and caring were simply a part of who she was.

Those who knew her, knew she had a huge heart and a love for animals of all kinds.

There were times when she would capture injured animals on the street and nature them back to health.

She even did this with a huge red tailed hawk that was hit by a car.

She loved animals and did all she could for all the animals around her that she could make a difference for.

Catherine will be missed terribly and the world just won’t be the same without her.

Catherine is survived by her twin brother Sherman Hewson of Pasadena, California, her sister Marnie Hewson of Montrose, California, her sister Delia Wing of Flintridge, California, her sons Michael Nathan Daugherty of Rayong, Thailand & Brad Sherman Andersen of Austin, Texas.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Amy Daugherty and Shelby Gaskin, and many loyal friends and family.
