Claire Dvorak BremerJanuary 22, 1933 ~ June 9, 2016 (age 83)
Claire (Dvorak) Bremer, 83 entered the gates of heaven on June 9, 2016 after a battle with illness. Claire was born in Lombard, Illinois on January 22, 1933 and lived the majority of her life in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. Claire was the second child of seven to Joseph and Clara Dvorak. Claire worked as a real estate agent while living in Glen Ellyn and raising her family. Claire’s first job while in High School was at the Glen Ellyn Theater and worked there until she married her high school sweetheart. Claire continued to play softball with the Glen Ellyn Park District into her mid 50’s and was known as “strike ‘em out Bremer”. In 1987, Claire moved to Los Angeles, California to be near her daughter, Micki. Claire’s hard work did not stop there and while doing modeling and acting, she became a secretary with the Screen Actors Guild-Producers Plans. Claire retired from SAG in 2002 after 12 years and she spent the last several years enjoying gambling, cards, bowling and spending time with her family.
Claire was a wonderful person who was caring and beautiful inside and out. She loved life, her children and grandchildren more than anything. Claire is survived by her children: Jack (Meg) Bremer, Joe Bremer, James (Amelia) Bremer and Micki (Matt) Erieg, her one sibling, Bess Dvorak Ryan and several nieces and nephews.
Claire is also survived by her grandchildren; Amanda Schmidt (Steve), Katy Doran (Chris) Greg (Katie) Bremer, John, Mary, Christina and Joe Bremer, Jayme and Jennifer Mills, Maggie McCoy and Kimberly Erieg along with her great-grandchildren; Charlotte, Caroline and Edward Doran and Sadie and Reid Schmidt.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 17 at 3:00 p.m., at the Frist United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. 454 Forest Avenue, Glen Elly, Illinois
